BIM - Förvaltarens Framtid

For nearly twenty years people have been talking about Product models, but given that the building industry is so conservative, it is hard to implement new working methods. Product models are these days known as Building Information Modeling, BIM. People often say they work with BIM but they often forget the most important part, the information. A 3D model should be linked with characteristics and information. Information that can be invaluable for the facility manager.We have a vision that in the best of worlds the facility manager would be able to "walk" into the model and see what kind of installations are inside the wall or in the roof.

Svensk utsädeproduktion : en kvalitativ intervjustudie om beredning av vete och korn

I denna kvalitativa intervjustudie tittar jag närmare på hur anläggningarna fungerar och vilka olikheter som finns hos Sveriges utsädesproducenter. Efter att så många anläggningar som möjligt hittats och intervjuats, så jämfördes detta antal anläggningar med en lista hos Jordbruksverket. Undersökningen visade sig vara gjord på 15 av 22 anläggningar som producerar certifierat utsäde i Sverige. Dessa 15 anläggningar var jämnt spridna över landet och av varierande storlek. Resultatet av studien visar att min undersökning representerar stora delar av Sveriges utsädesproducenter.

In 2003 the facility was closed down due to its unusable conditionsand then after seven years with discussions of different plans about what to do with thefacility it was demolished in 2010. This case is the base in the essay, and why it was notpreserved.The purpose of this essay is to look at what the people in Finspång think about preservation ofbuildings with the demolished swimming hall facility as base, and what impact materiality hason questions regarding preservation, cultural heritage, memory and history.

Utredning av fastighetsel i ett äldre och ett ombyggt flerbostadshus i Gävle

The residential and service sector in Sweden accounts for approximately 38% of the total energy usage and Sweden has an aim to reduce the total energy use by 20% by 2020 compared to 2008, which means residential sector will have to improve energy efficiency. As part of that a law was instituted by the Swedish parliament that all properties must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to thereby give the property owners a greater insight into energy use in their buildings and propose recommendations for energy-efficiency measures. On the EPC, a value on the building's energy performance in terms of energy use in kWh / m2 per year is declared, of which electricity is a share of it. Instructions on what to include in the amount facility electricity for running the facilities is regulated by the authority for building, Boverket while SVEBY has made an interpretation of the regulations in their report "Brukarindata bostäder" where they have a table on what should be included in the amount and what not to include.This report is a study of two similar apartment buildings, where one of the buildings recently underwent renovation, to see if the declared amount of energy for electricity, in the EPC, is consistent with the measured value, and whether there has been any reduction in facility electricity in the renovated building after the renovation.The result shows that the measured value of the building electricity was 2.6 kWh / m2 per year, 28,8 %, lower than the declared value in the building that have not undergone a renovation. Calculation of values from previous years (2011) by the same percentage of facility electricity as in the results of the measurements, 56.7%, it becomes clear that the declared value for facility electricity in the EPC of the renovated building do not correspond with reality and that there has been an increase in use of facility electricity after the renovation..

AbstractThe purpose of project is to study the possibility for Borås Energy & Environment to build and run a commercial ethanol production facility in Borås. The project also studies the technology for the production of ethanol using renewable energy, e.g. lignocelluloses with focus on two processes, svag-syra hydrolyse and enzymatic hydrolyse. The technology of the process is based of hydrolysation of biomass (hemicelluloses and cellulose) to sugar and extract it to ethanol. These two techniques will compare with each other to determine which of them that it?s more suitable for ethanol production.

The theory therefore includes management by objectives, internal rents and reward systems, motivation and communication within organizations.Empirical foundation: The organization has undergone a reorganization 2010/2011. There are no clear incentives to reduce facility costs.

Vad styr ett Facility Management-beslut? : En kartläggning av faktorer som påverkar företagens beslut kring outsourcing av Facility Management

Bakgrund: Denna uppsats är skriven på uppdrag från Coor AB. Uppdragsgivaren är intresserad av att veta varför vissa företag väljer att outsourca medan andra väljer att bedriva Facility Management-enheten i egen regi. Outsourcad Facility Management ökar i Sverige, men vad är det egentligen som skiljer företag som väljer att outsourca från de företag som inte gör det?Syfte: Syftet med studien är att via intervjuer identifiera och utifrån vald teori analysera vilka strategiska faktorer som påverkar företagens beslut kring outsourcing av Facility Management-funktionen.Genomförande: Denna studie är intervjubaserad och omfattar sju intervjuer med operativa chefer från olika företag som antingen outsourcar eller bedriver Facility Management-tjänsterna i egen regi.Resultat: Studiens resultat påvisar att det är strategiskt klokt att köpa en tjänst av en extern leverantör om en extern leverantör utför tjänsten bättre och billigare än företaget själva, vilket indikerar att ekonomi är en strategisk faktor som påverkar ett outsourcingbeslut. Det visade sig även att det är hur föränderliga företagets produkter är, var företaget befinner sig i förädlingskedjan och hur stor del av förädlingskedjan som företaget verkar inom som avgör vilka strategiska faktorer som spelar in.

The authors mission was to make an analysis in order to examine whether an investment of carwashes are lucrative enough for Vetlanda Vägkrog AB.Aim: The study's main objective was to analyze the profitability of an investment in a self-service car wash facility at Vetlanda Vägkrog AB, based on given data. The authors sub-aim was to clarify which factors in general that had played the greatest part in the establishment of a self-service car wash facility.Method: The authors have used an abductive approach in order to fulfill the aim of the study.

Optimering av OTEC-system

Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion, OTEC, is a sustainable energy conversion technology that is not yet commercialized. OTEC is a technology that utilizes the temperature difference in oceans between the warm surface water and the cold water at 1 000 m depth to run a Rankine Cycle. This technology can produce electricity and provide synergies like fresh water, air conditioning and aquaculture. A simulation program for three alternative OTEC systems has been created in order to decide which OTEC system is most profitable; closed, open or hybrid system. In this simulation a production cost analysis is performed in order to investigate and decide which one of the three systems that has the lowest production cost. The production cost analysis also analyzes if the profitability is affected by the size of the facility. After these analyzes, the most profitable of the three different OTEC-systems is expanded by an installation of solar collectors in order to see if the thermal efficiency is improved. The result shows that the most profitable system varies with the size of the facility.

This thesis deals with the design of a combinated rescue-, personal-, and firefighting elevator for a nuclear waste storage facility to be constructed by the client SKB, Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB. SKB:s mission is to dispose of all nuclear waste from all swedish nuclear power plants. The storage facility will be built in the rock 450 m under the surface and will consist of several kilometers of tunnel where capsules containing the nuclear waste will be placed. It will also hold a central area which contains spaces necessary for the operation and construction of the facility, such as elevator hall, storage hall etc. The facility will have two ways of access: a vehicle ramp and an elevator shaft.

Due to historically low prices for electricity in Sweden, many small-scale hydropowerplants were closed down. A small-scale power plant has more or less the samemaintenance costs as larger plants, but doesn?t generate as much income. Today?sincreasing price for electricity in combination with a desire for renewable energysources makes small-scale hydropower interesting again.
